Position Overview:
As Lead Developer, you will lead the development and technical direction of the My Life Talks platform. This is a high-impact role where you’ll guide a growing team of developers and collaborate closely with product, design, and leadership teams. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills and a user-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership:
○ Lead the development of new features, improvements, and performance enhancements.
○ Evolve the architecture of the My Life Talks platform.
○ Diagnose and troubleshoot user issues related to the My Life Talks platform, such as login problems, connectivity issues, and software bugs.
○ Provide clear and friendly guidance to users on how to resolve common issues.
○ Research and implement best practices in software development and DevOps.
○ Set coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure code quality across the team. - Team Management:
○ Collaborate cross-functionally with the leadership team and designers to deliver elegant, user-focused solutions. - Platform Monitoring:
○ Ensure platform stability, scalability, and security.
○ Manage system updates, releases, and infrastructure improvements. - Innovation & Strategy:
○ Help shape the long-term technical vision of the company.
○ Provide input on product strategy and user experience from a development perspective.
○ Identify and evaluate new technologies and frameworks to keep the platform on the cutting edge. - User Feedback:
○ Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by recommending solutions or enhancements based on user feedback.
Qualifications:
● Must be available between 9 AM and 5 PM CST
● 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
● Proficiency in full-stack development; experience with modern frameworks
● Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment
● Experience working in agile development environments.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
● Strong communication and collaboration skills.
